E&Y survey deadline extended

Johannesburg, 28 Jun 2007

Ernst & Young has extended the registration deadline for its 10th Global Information Security Survey (GISS) to 13 July. This will allow new registrations, and the 2 200 potential respondents, more time to complete the survey.

The survey is useful to companies seeking to improve their security programmes and that would like to benchmark their initiatives against identified threats. One of the aims of the survey is to raise awareness about information security as a board-level issue.

Participants will receive an executive benchmark report after all the survey results are compiled. As an exercise, benchmarking can add value to companies in terms of helping them to assess their security posture, identify any potential gaps or shortfalls and take the appropriate steps to protect their information infrastructure appropriately.
