Education creates strong economy

Microsoft (MS) chairman Bill Gates highlighted the power of education and the critical role public-private partnerships and ICT play to create a strong, vibrant economy across the region, at the Government Leaders Forum, Arabia, in Abu Dhabi, says Xpress4me.

To share resources and reduce time and costs through collaboration, The Dubai School of Government (DSG) worked with MS to adopt the Solutions Sharing Network (SSN) programme, which helped create a virtual community that leveraged an e-government portal to facilitate the sharing of best practices and knowledge.

"We hope the upgraded portal will enrich regional academic research on e-government, tackle e-governance barriers faced by Arab countries, and empower decision-makers in the region to develop e-government initiatives supporting reform and good governance," said Nabil Ali Alyousuf, executive president of the DSG.

EnCrisp joins alliance

EnCrisp, a provider of global SAP governance, risk and compliance (GRC) technology solutions and integration services, has joined the SAP Global Security Alliance, says PR-USA.

Only a handful of specialist companies worldwide make up the SAP Global Security Alliance.

EnCrisp and a select group of member companies have demonstrated a high level of enterprise security knowledge, best practices, and the ability to integrate their technologies and content to provide SAP customers with an end-to-end sustainable and collaborative security solution.

Paisley upgrades software

Paisley, a provider of GRC software solutions, recently announced version 3.5 of Paisley Enterprise GRC, says the Sarbanes-Oxley Journal.

The new release of Paisley Enterprise GRC introduces enhanced compliance management capabilities that support the documentation and management of laws and regulations, policies and procedures, compliance risk assessment, testing and compliance reporting.

This enhanced functionality enables organisations to reduce costs and streamline compliance activities for both internal and external regulatory requirements.
