Recent studies have shown that Cyber-Ark EPV will greatly reduce the time associated with root cause analysis as a result of unauthorised change and unauthorised use of privileged identities within any organisation.
UCS Solutions today announced that it has made a strategic decision to purchase Cyber-Ark EPV to mitigate the risks associated with privileged identity management (PIM).
“The main advantages we are able to achieve through Cyber-Ark EPV are the accountability of our engineers, while maintaining the confidentiality of our privileged identities internally and external to the organisation,” says Enlin Neveling, IT Risk and Security Manager for UCS Solutions.
“Being a hosting service provider, the challenges of PIM across the enterprise are a risk normally addressed in reaction to a security breach involving a privileged identity; and in most of the reported cases the offending party was in the employment of the organisation, and in some no longer employed.
“With UCS Solutions being one of the first hosting service providers in South Africa to take the challenges we face with PIM seriously, the added advantage is the higher level of assurance we are now able to provide to our customers.
“We see the decision made by UCS, a leading hosting service provider in South Africa, as a vote of confidence in Cyber-Ark and NGS. Moreover, we feel that the partnership created between UCS, Cyber-Ark and NGS will grow in the very near future. From our experience, the more hands-on usage the EPV solution gets the more it will prove to be a critical component in their service offering. Furthermore, the return on investment for UCS - its clients' appreciation and confidence - will be immediately recognised. I am glad that UCS is the first service provider for the enterprise to decide to look at this risk straight in the eye and face it while others still expose themselves and their clients to major risks.”
