ITWeb, in partnership with BPTGroup, will host the inaugural BPM Summit and Excellence Awards, at Montecasino, from 25 to 27 August.

The theme of this year's event, says Ros Creamer, ITWeb's events manager, is creating a strategy to enable a single partnership of people, processes and technology to drive the successful implementation of BPM in business.

The summit will feature a mix of end-user case studies, analyst insights and vendor/client co-presentations, and covers topics such as aligning BPM to business strategy, developing a unified approach to BPM and service-oriented architecture (SOA), and combining BI and performance management with BPM, she says.

Ranka Jovanovic, ITWeb's editorial director, says while it has always been important for businesses to manage their processes effectively, it is even more critical to do so in today's economic climate.

“BPM is an important area of IT and we believe those who lead by example should be recognised,” she adds.

The awards ceremony, which takes place on the evening of the 25th, aims to highlight the importance of BPM, while recognising local achievements in BPM implementation across seven different categories. Jovanovich says it will focus on initiatives that have a proven ROI and a tangible impact on business efficiency.

The call for entries is now open and submissions are actively being encouraged from anyone who has a BPM success story to tell. For more information on how to enter for an award, please click here.
