The impact of Web 2.0 is being realised in the corporate environment as a catalyst for a digital business revolution and businesses are learning how to harness the potential of Web 2.0 implementation within their workforce.

This will be the focus of the upcoming 'Human Capital Management using Web 2.0' conference which will see hundreds of business professionals gather to learn about and discuss this new trend.

The conference will take place on 10 June at The Wanderers Club in Johannesburg. Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss the role and impact of Web 2.0 on their human capital management practices based on case studies presented by industry experts.

Companies presenting include Deloitte Consulting, Cerebra, KPMG Services, Discovery, SAP, Microsoft and Vodacom. Topics such as social media implementations, the knowledge worker, talent management and productivity through social computing will be presented against the backdrop of Web 2.0 implementation.

The case studies presented will explore strategies for social media deployment beyond the corporate firewall, highlighting solutions that will enable organisations to harness the collective intelligence of their human capital.

The expo will highlight how Web 2.0 can be developed to suit organisations' particular needs and how they can derive significant business value and gain the competitive edge.

Delegates will gain knowledge on how to implement enterprise 2.0 within their organisations and how to manage their resources more cost-effectively in today's challenging economic times.
