Bringing Web 2.0 to the workforce

Top local and international companies will present seven case studies focused on the implementation of Web 2.0 in the workforce at the upcoming Human Capital Management (HCM) using Web 2.0 event.

The event, which will be hosted at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg on 10 June, will explore enterprise 2.0 solutions that harness the collective intelligence of human capital within organisations.

Mike Stopforth, social media expert and CEO of Cerebra, will discuss the deployment of social media platforms and strategies behind the corporate firewall. Stopforth will highlight lessons learned from his successful projects with leading multinational brands including, SAB, Absa, Kelly and RMB.

Danie Gordon, channel manager for Microsoft SA, will explore how to achieve business productivity through social computing. Gordon will highlight how using SharePoint to enhance the social networking experience can heighten the potential impact of employees.

Vincent Maher, portfolio manager for social media at Vodacom, will discuss guidelines for preparing a mobile roll-out for the next-generation worker. He will investigate the technology behind some tools and sites in development locally.

This event provides the opportunity to explore the impact of Web 2.0 solutions on the HCM process. Based on the successful case studies presented, delegates will be equipped with information on how to implement Web 2.0 within their own organisations.
