BMC Software has announced that Nigerian systems integrator and software applications developer, Soft Solutions Limited (SSL), has signed a solution provider contract for the BMC Service Desk Solutions Range (formally Magic).
This follows BMC Software's recent announcement that it has moved from a distributor model to a reseller model.
"Increasing recognition of BMC Software's leadership position in business service management has encouraged us to broaden our footprint across South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa," says Arjen Wiersma, country manager for BMC Software.
"Midsize businesses face many of the same issues as larger enterprises in meeting the needs of both end-users and executives, but they must do so with smaller budgets and limited resources. Owing to their smaller staffs, they also have a greater need for easy-to-use and easy-to-implement help-desk software and solutions - such as BMC's Service Desk Solutions Ranges - that increase efficiency and customer satisfaction."
The Service Desk Solutions Range fits well with Soft Solutions' competence in business applications development, implementation and IT infrastructure management, says Bolarinwa Abolade, executive director of Soft Solutions. "We will seek opportunities that allow us to customise the BMC Service Desk offering into pre-set templates and applications specifically for clients in sectors such as financial services, telecommunications and oil and gas.
"This will further enable us to help businesses to improve the productivity of their business operations and processes as well as the productivity of their IT infrastructure."
Soft Solutions will use BMC's Service Desk Solutions Range for applications such as the IT support centre, customer service management, customer support centre, asset management and inventory management.
