ProScan Systems, sole value-added distributor for Intermec Technologies in southern Africa, received the most coveted Intermec award for "Partner of the Year" at the company's annual global sales summit for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region on 2 February 2007 in Orlando, Florida.
Intermec's annual global sales summit is dedicated to educating and energising Intermec honours partners, direct sales teams and strategic alliances, and providing a unique networking opportunity for product education and solution selling.
Intermec honours partners represent a combination of superior software, services and market expertise. That strength, combined with Intermec's technology, products and solutions, ensures highly diverse, yet very specific customer needs are met.
"The partnership and spirit of collaboration we enjoy with our partners is globally recognised by customers who have been provided with the best possible data collection, mobile computing and RFID solutions in the market today," said Gary Jones, VP, Global Channels, Intermec. "Our partner-award winners for 2006 reflect positively on our honours partner programme, and we applaud their success."
Awards were given for a few different categories with the highest award being "Partner of the Year" for each region. Awards were given based on the three different regions: North America, Pacific/Asia including South America and EMEA.
Andrew Fosbrook, MD, ProScan, who attended the award ceremony along with several colleagues from the company, commented: "Our achievement reflects a great deal of hard work and dedication from our team at ProScan, as well as support from the international and local Intermec teams, who have backed us all the way.
"Our strong alliances with Intermec focused value-added resellers, system integrators and solution providers countrywide have also played a major role in ensuring the successful supply and support of our systems throughout southern Africa. We're proud to be winners alongside names like IBM, Personal Computer Organisation, and Masternaut, to name a few."
