ITIL speeds up

An advanced version of the Mega ITSM Accelerator aims to help private and public sector organisations deploy ITIL faster and more efficiently, reports Manufacturingtalk.

Mega International, a business process analysis and enterprise architecture modelling solution firm, introduced the new version.

It is a graphical, ready-to-use repository of ITIL best practices, enabling IT managers to deploy these best practices in a consistent framework, reducing project risks and implementation costs.

IT governance survey examines manufacturing

A study on the way IT governance is used in the manufacturing sector has gone online, says the ARC Advisory Group.

This study focuses on the way IT governance is structured and executed in discrete or process manufacturing companies, and aims to correlate these practices with the performance of IT governance. It also investigates how IT related to manufacturing and automation is governed, and how effective these practices are.

The research examines how companies can govern the situation caused by the fact that hardware, software and networking in IT and automation layers are increasingly based on similar technology.

Active Reasoning unveils latest version

Active Reasoning System 5, the latest version of IT governance automation solutions provider Active Reasoning's policy enforcement software, is now available, according to Business Wire.

The software is targeted at organisations that need a way to enforce the IT policies and controls they have established in order to avoid revenue loss and cost overruns that can arise as a result of outages and downtime.

It allows businesses to embed IT policy controls within business systems and applications to provide real-time change detection and configuration auditing.
