"Speed is the name of the game with any kind of PC, game station or entertainment device. Constantly striving to make things run faster, a renewed focus has been placed on cooling these power toys to extend the device's life span," comments Nicole Dix, ASUS product manager, Axiz.
The EN8800GTX AquaTank/HTDP/768M is equipped with the latest AquaTank all-in-one water-cooled module, allowing the GPU to run at temperatures 12^0C lower than the reference thermal module design.
The module uses a series of rubber tubes to pipe warm water away from the graphics card to a separate module. This fits into the space reserved for a PCI slot, venting the heat out of the back of the PC case via a fan.
The water-cooling means ASUS can clock the AquaTank much higher, enabling up to 11% faster graphics performance. Specifically, ASUS clocked the Aquatank's GPU clock up to 630MHz; its shader clocks up to 1.458GHz, and the memory clock up to 2.06GHz. Speeds much quicker when compared to competitors.
The EN8800GTX AquaTank/HTDP/768M is available immediately from Axiz. For more information, contact Nicole Dix, Product Manager, on (011) 237 7228, or visit www.axiz.com.
