SAP expands into manufacturing

SAP AG has extended its 100 000 member Business Process Expert Community forums into new areas of interest for manufacturing executives, reports Industry Week.

The company says by bringing together industry experts facing similar challenges, the new forums extend the power of the community to foster collaboration and learning within and across key industry segments.

The community has seen its membership top 100 000 since its launch six months ago.

Nanoexa has delivered new technology to Decktron, its publicly traded subsidiary in Korea, as a result of a non-recurring engineering (NRE) agreement, according to PR Newswire.

Decktron will apply the nanotechnology to the development of a new generation of lithium ion batteries.

To be used in combination with existing intellectual property from Argonne National Laboratory, the technology is based on a positive electrode material that comprises a unique nano-crystalline layered-layered composite structure.
