KSS, ITWeb talk convergence

As an addition to the ITWeb Convergence Portal, the online media company has unveiled the Convergence Forum, in conjunction with KSS.

The forum will look at the various issues, challenges and ideas around the concept, and aims to encourage debate on these topics which will be developed through readers' opinions and thoughts.

Each month, readers will have the opportunity to discuss the presented topics with various industry experts.

This month, Andre Maree, MD of KSS, is looking at convergence technology in the voice space and its uptake in SA. Abhishek Sharma, a member of Cisco's Technology Advisory Group, is discussing how and if convergence delivers benefits on a business level.

Professor Barry Dwolatzky, who teaches Software Engineering at Wits University and is academic director of the Joburg Centre for Software Engineering (JCSE) at Wits; and Rick Joubert, executive head of Proposition Management for Vodacom, have both posted comments on the topics presented by KSS as a means to begin discussion.
