The main topic of this year's African ICT Achievers Leader Summit will be ICT investment and development in Africa.

ForgeAhead, ICT research and consulting house and owner of the African ICT Achievers Programme, will be hosting the African ICT Achievers Leaders Summit on 14 and 15 November this year.

Jane Mosebi, MD of ForgeAhead, says: "The Achievers Programme is not just about the awards, its also about creating opportunities for dialogue and networking, and mobilising governments and business decision-makers in Africa to collaborate to own the challenge of digital inclusion."

The summit takes place two days prior to the awards banquet and aims to attract attendees from the African continent to share in this high-level debate.

"At the end of the summit we plan to develop a declaration of intent that will be championed and the progress communicated on a regular basis to all stakeholders, so that the African ICT Achievers Awards continues to make a difference in Africa," adds Mosebi.

Some of the issues to be debated at the summit include: financial investment in ICTs on the continent, investment in ICT innovation and balancing financial risk and reward.

Nominations are open until 14 August.
