BNSF Railway uses SAP

BNSF Railway Company will implement the SAP Business Suite family of business applications and Duet software from SAP and Microsoft, reports CNN Money.

The SAP roll-out will establish a single platform that interconnects BNSF's financial, human resource and compliance operations.

This enterprise landscape will improve transaction visibility, real-time processing of invoices and enhanced management control.

LogicaCMG wins outsourcing contract

LogicaCMG has signed a declaration of intent with Royal KPN NV to take over all human resources and payroll activities for all KPN workers in the Netherlands, reports Hemscott.

Financial details were not disclosed and the company said roughly 60 KPN employees would be transferred to LogicaCMG.

LogicaCMG said both parties expect negotiations on the deal to wrap up by 1 November and the service is expected to be up and running from 1 January next year.

BT launches business tools

BT, a UK telephone incumbent, has added a new set of business management tools to its portfolio of free, hosted small business applications, reports Teleclick.

The free version of "BT Business Builder" includes sales, invoicing, bookkeeping, payroll, human resources, and health and safety tools.

BT is also offering a paid premium version of the service, which adds advanced HR and payroll functions, and comes with access to a 24-hour legal help-line.
