Xerox receives awards

Xerox's DocuShare Enterprise Content Management platform, a Web-based electronic filing system, has received enterprise content management awards from three industry organisations, reports Trading Markets.

David Smith, VP and GM of Xerox DocuShare Business Unit, says: "These industry recognitions represent the voice of the customer who values DocuShare for the way it helps manage and share business critical information with ease and affordability."

Xerox DocuShare solutions run on one unified technology platform and feature basic content management services and process management functionality.

Caringo goes open source

Caringo, a provider of content storage software, has released an interface between CAStor and Alfresco, an open source alternative for enterprise content management, according to Businesswire.

XeniT, a member of the Caringo Connect developer community, built the interface and has registered it at Alfresco Forge.

The interface replaces the traditional file-system based document store of Alfresco, enabling all content such as business records and documents to be stored in CAStor.

Ektron reveals solution

Ektron, a provider in Web content management software, has unveiled CMS400.NET v7.6, the latest version of Ektron's content management solution, says The Earth Times.

CMS400.NET v7.6 comes equipped with new product features and a new deployment strategy to fit the needs of the small and medium business market segment as well as Ektron's enterprise-level customer base.

William Rogers, CEO of Ektron, says: "With these new technologies, we are able to provide a variety of deployment options that are tailored specifically to the needs of our customers in each market segment."
