Dell stocks schools

Dell has rolled out its Latitude 2100 series of netbooks to schools, says Newsticker.

The Latitude 2100 is part of Dell's connected classroom technology products and services where students can access learning resources and digital content on a school network or via the Internet.

The Latitude 2100 has rugged design that is easier for children to carry and use safely as well as an optional touchscreen. It also offers wireless connectivity that can be monitored by the teacher with a network activity light on the netbook lid.

Real estate industry gets online library

RICS Americas, a global organisation for property professionals, has partnered with Argus Software to provide RICS members worldwide with access to the Argus library of e-learning and virtual training programmes, states The American Surveyor.

The courses cover all aspects of real estate cash flow projection, transaction analysis, asset valuation, development feasibility, asset and portfolio management and other topics that are central to the practice of commercial real estate.

Bruce Kellogg, senior vice-president for industry relations at Argus Software, says: “This is a partnership that will not only benefit the members of RICS but will serve to lift the industry as a whole through the continued adoption of best practices and standards.”

BEW releases e-learning platform

Business Expert Webinars (BEW), a provider of business e-learning training, has unveiled its technology platform, allowing its partners to private-label the e-learning programme on their own Web site, reports PR-USA.net.

Lee Salz, president and CEO of BEW, says: "The business e-learning market is booming, but many business associations, media firms, and Web portals have not been able to offer this education to their clientele due to constrained resources. This technology allows them to offer our programme under their brand.”

The technology allows a user to present an e-learning programme on their Web site through a live technology feed.
