Customer successes mark first anniversary of Computer Associates` ca smart solution certification program

Computer Associates International, Inc (CA) today marked the first anniversary of its ca smart solution certification program by showcasing customers and partners who have experienced tangible benefits from the program`s diverse solutions. These solutions have enabled customers to combine best-in-class technologies from CA and its partners to quickly and effectively address their most critical information technology challenges.

The certification is earned by partners who deliver business value and technical excellence through the integration of their products with CA technologies. The program promotes close collaboration between CA and its partners, ensuring that certified solutions meet the highest standards of engineering quality and deliver tangible business benefits.

Solutions featured within the ca smart solution certification program benefit customers from a wide range of vertical markets and represent CA`s key IT focus areas.

Party City, one of the world`s largest party supply retailers, is utilising G&Z Systems` ca smart certified PollView in conjunction with CA`s Unicenter to radically simplify the management of its geographically distributed IT infrastructure.

"We are truly impressed with the functionality of the combined solutions," said William Zaccardi, Party City`s Director of IT. "The tight integration between Unicenter and G&Z`s PollView has enabled Party City to slash the cost and complexity of technology ownership, while boosting the reliability of our critical systems."

LA Fireman`s Credit Union, a full-service financial institution committed to providing for the financial security of its members/owners, is deploying SAFLINK`s SAFaccess to add biometric capabilities to CA`s eTrust Single Sign-On.

The University of New Mexico leverages both the hierarchical storage management capabilities of CaminoSoft`s Managed Server solution and the extensive functionality of CA`s BrightStor ARCserve Backup to optimise the performance and resource-efficiency of its data protection strategy.

The US Navy`s Military Sealift Command (MSC) has deployed the ca smart certified Meta Integration Model Bridge (MIMB) to help development teams more efficiently share data models, including those created by CA`s AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler, further streamlining the technical integration of its mission-critical systems.

One of the world`s leading public transportation groups, National Express Group PLC, implemented the ca smart certified e-Foundation suite, which CA partner Prophecy built on CA`s Advantage Ingres Enterprise Relational Database.
