Enterprise content management (ECM) solution provider, IXOS SOFTWARE, has announced the latest version of its e-mail management solution for Microsoft Exchange. Version 2.0A of IXOS-eCONserver for Microsoft Exchange provides enhanced support for offline users, integrated full-text search, retention management and support for Exchange Server 2003 and Outlook 2003. IXOS products are available in SA through local partner, Datacentrix.
"This latest e-mail solution from IXOS addresses the mounting challenges associated with the exponential growth of e-mail data stores that many companies face today," says Rob Shaw, product marketing manager for IXOS at Datacentrix.
With enterprise mailbox volume growing at 40% annually (Gartner) and global business e-mail growing from 9.7 billion/day in 2000 to 35 billion /day in 2005 (IDC), storage management issues for businesses continue to escalate.

IXOS-eCONserver for Microsoft Exchange enables organisations running Exchange to securely manage e-mail within a single content repository. IXOS has also completed a global distribution agreement with Convera, a provider of enterprise-search, retrieval and categorisation solutions, to provide full text support for Convera RetrievalWare.
Additionally, IXOS is the first ECM vendor to support Exchange Server & Outlook 2003 with its Groupware solution supporting organisations` business plans to upgrade to the latest versions of Microsoft software.
