IT management spices up

Spiceworks has added of new features to its IT Desktop, a collaborative IT management application for SMEs, says Market Watch.

The new features, called SpiceLists, enable users to collaboratively develop, share, and rank IT best practices, products and services, and reports - making it even easier for them to manage their networks.

The SpiceLists address one of the biggest problems facing IT professionals in small businesses today - how to quickly and easily connect with people like themselves in order to find the products, services and information they need to solve their unique IT issues.

Apparent joins BMC

Apparent Networks has joined BMC Software's Technology Alliance Program (TAP), says Market Watch.

TAP was developed to support technology companies whose products complement BMC Software solutions, providing customers a more complete range of solutions and a path to business service management.

Apparent Networks technology plays a critical role in helping companies manage network performance and application delivery in large, converged environments.

Alternative Tech distributes CA

Alternative Technology, an IT distributor, continues to expand its offerings by supplying a broad range of CA distributed enterprise IT management software, says TCMNet.

"Alternative Technology and its network of North American resellers are particularly well versed in key technologies where CA adds value, including virtualisation, infrastructure, security, and storage, said Joe Gruca, VP of regional alliances at CA.

CA Advanced Systems Management is one of many CA products that Alternative Technology will distribute.
