The ITWeb Security Summit 2009 will present eight international speakers and more than 40 IT security professionals, who will explore current security risks, cybercrime, identity theft, and how to safeguard confidential information.
Costin Raiu, head of research and development for Kaspersky Lab for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region, will discuss cyber-attacks on online financial services, and what businesses can do to defend themselves.
Adam Shostack, Microsoft SDL senior security program manager, will provide insight into the crisis of information security. Shostack is a member of Microsoft's Security Development Lifecycle team, and he is responsible for security design analysis techniques. He is also a founding member of the International Financial Cryptography Association and the Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium. He has been a technical advisor to companies such as Counterpane Internet Security and Debix.
Uri Rivner, head of new technologies at RSA, the Security Division of EMC, will give a crash course on how to become a successful online fraudster. Rivner has 15 years of experience in business development, international marketing and project management. Rivner is a public speaker regarding online fraud and has worked with several large financial institutions on developing solutions against online attacks.
John Turner, VP for Europe, Middle East and Africa technical sales organisation for Symantec, will discuss the issues relating to the evolution of threats. Prior to Symantec, Turner worked for Veritas as senior director for Western US emerging solutions. He has held the role of VP of sales for Gartner CIO Programs.
Over 500 delegates attended last year's conference. This year's summit will equip IT managers and professionals with up-to-date information on the latest security trends, solutions, current legislation and strategies on security issues. In addition, an IT security expo will be held on 27 and 28 May, showcasing the latest information security solutions and access to industry vendors and security experts.
