Metropolis Transactive Holdings, the embattled portal operator and application service provider, says it is still in talks which may result in its de-listing from the JSE.
Last year Metropolis disposed of its Information Management businesses, transferred its business-to-business (B2B) communities to VerticalNet and closed its B2B division.
Over the past year the group has focused on growing its iafrica.com portal, has entered a number of joint venture e-commerce agreements and launched the Private Label application service provider division.
For the six months to 31 December 2000, its first financial results following its exit from the B2B arena, the company posted a headline loss of 11.5c per share compared with a 19.1c loss a year earlier.
Metropolis has published a further cautionary announcement which says it is still in negotiations which may result in an offer being made to its shareholders and its de-listing from the JSE.
