Glotec`s liquidation gets nod

Johannesburg, 14 Jan 2005

Global Technology`s (Glotec`s) shareholders have approved the resolutions relating to the termination of the group`s JSE listing and its subsequent liquidation.

As a result, Glotec`s delisting will go ahead as planned on 31 January.

It says that as the special resolution to place the company into voluntary liquidation has been passed, the resolution will be lodged with the Registrar of Companies "in due course".

It adds that all the suspensive conditions relating to the disposal of its remaining operations have now been fulfilled.

The disposals of Brolink, GTIS, Glotec Business Intelligence and ACS had been subject to shareholder approval.

Glotec Business Intelligence was sold to Enterprise Outsourcing Holdings last year.

Glotec`s decision to shed the remaining three businesses and go into liquidation came after an 18-month restructuring exercise, that included selling off most of its assets, failed to revive the flagging business.
