Datatec subsidiary Logicalis has completed the merger of its Latin American operations with those of Brazilian network integrator Promon Tecnologia, the group said yesterday.

The deal, which was first announced in March, cost the group $77.2 million (R580.5 million) and was settled through a combination of cash and shares.

"The transaction was completed on 2 May. Datatec will allot 6.67 million shares on 9 May in part consideration. Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the admission of these shares to the Alternative Investment Market, and to the JSE for the listing of these shares," Datatec said.
