Johannesburg, 05 Feb 2007

Digital lifestyle specialist, Pinnacle Micro, has announced the local availability of Apacer's AU524 and AU523 MP3 players, which offer bold design, large storage capacity and broad functionality.

Both units offer a large flash storage of up to 2GB as well as 1GB MicroSD card expansion, says Hans Steyn, Apacer brand manager at Pinnacle Micro. "They also feature a bright two-colour OLED display and a matt black finish in a size that fits snugly in your palm.

"Both units support voice recording, FM, FM-recording and language learning through A-B segment repeat functionality," he adds.

The MP3 players incorporate style, functionality and a high storage capacity, making them suited for use in the home, office, on the move, exercising or travelling, as well as at school in the classroom or computer lab.

The large built-in flash memory of up to 2GB and MicroSD card slot expansion offers brilliant storage capacities. When combined with the direct USB connector, the units become solid USB flash drives that do not need any extra cables. They can also perform card-reader duties when transferring content to and from MicroSD card devices.

"The bold design of the AU524 and AU523 makes them immediate fashion statements with attractive orange accent design on matt black finish," says Steyn. "Further, the vivid two-colour OLED interface makes the units easy to use and enjoy."

Other full-function features include dual earphone jacks that let two users share the fun, built-in FM tuner with FM recording, voice recording with a built-in high sensitivity microphone and A-B repeat functions.

"A built in rechargeable battery is included, as is 24-language support and synchronous lyrics display," Steyn concludes.
