Datacraft helps Taiwan hotel

Datacraft has completed the first phase of a converged communications project for Taiwan`s Fenisia Hotel, reports Hardware Zone.

Datacraft designed and implemented an advanced IP network with the most recent IP telephony capabilities, streaming video, Internet services and hospitality applications.

The hospitality applications can be accessed through a Cisco IP phone. With a large colour display and touch-sensitive screen, hotel guests can control the room environment, such as lighting, temperature and curtain panel.

Datacraft upgrades communications systems

Datacraft will connect over 600 people when it implements a next-generation converged communications network infrastructure in its Gurgaon office in India, reports EFY Times.

The IP network designed and implemented by Datacraft will provide the company with a platform to integrate voice, video and data communications as well as analogue devices such as fax machines.

More than 450 units of IP phones will be connected to the network via a PSTN voice gateway. Its Gurgaon facility will be the first in India to deploy Cisco`s advanced 4924 switches for broadband aggregation.

Converged voice services unveiled

Research and Markets has announced the addition of "The Market for Converged Voice Services in Europe" to its services, according to PR-Inside.

Converged voice service (CVS) integrates fixed-line VOIP and mobile telephony into a single, next-generation voice service. All the necessary technology is commercially available.

The report shows how incumbent operators can use converged voice services to eliminate losses of fixed-line subscribers. The report also examines how mobile operators can use CVS to migrate pre-paid subscribers to post-paid calling plans.
