Grintek site defaced

A hacker using the pseudonym Siber Korsanlar has compromised a Grintek site.

When users attempted to access the technology group`s www.grintek.co.za site this morning, the page header "MdX/Siber-Korsanlar/Ar-GE" appeared. The words "Hacked Siber Korsanlar" appeared across the page, as well as a brief message in a foreign language.

However, the company`s main site, www.grintek.com, was unaffected.

In an unofficial response, an unnamed employee at the company said it was not the first time the site had been compromised, and that plans were being put in place to strengthen security.

Grintek Group MD Shaun Liebenberg was unable to comment on the matter, saying he had no knowledge of the hack.
