The South African Internet Exchange (SAIX) has resolved the router processor problem it experienced at its Rosebank point of presence (POP), says UUNET.

Yesterday it was reported that the Rosebank POP had gone down for the second time in as many months, disrupting connectivity to Telkom and its partners' clients in and around the area.

UUNET says the SAIX failure had a direct impact on its dial-up clients and its peering.

SAIX had not responded to queries about the problem at the time of publication.
