Johannesburg, 25 Jul 2007

ITWeb, the business technology media company, has announced Your Life in Digital, an annual digital lifestyle exhibition that will debut in April next year.

The show will take place from 18-20 April 2008 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, and will feature the best of what consumer electronics, gaming and entertainment industries have to offer.

"The exhibition will showcase the best of digital," says Jovan Regasek, CEO and founder of ITWeb.

Your Life in Digital is ITWeb's debut in the exhibition world. "Our intention is to complement and complete our activities in the digital lifestyle space that we have with our monthly magazine Unwired and our social networking Web site My Digital Life," says Regasek.

While Unwired is primarily about informing, advising, educating and inspiring, and My Digital Life about connecting, making friends and interacting, Regasek says Your Life in Digital is about experiencing the digital lifestyle to the full, about being entertained and having fun.

Your Life in Digital aims to create an event platform for top consumer brands and digital service providers to interact with consumers, showing them not only the latest and greatest in the digital world, but also how those diverse digital lifestyle technologies work together for an ultimate digital lifestyle experience.

Visitors of the expo will have three days to preview and compare today's hottest products, ranging from HDTV, home theatre systems, computers, gaming consoles, imaging products, cellphones, media streaming, home networking and home security systems, digital kitchen appliances, digital fashion, technology in cars and much more.

The exhibition will also feature an array of digital services - from connectivity to social networks, recruitment and online dating - to experiencing a fully-equipped digital home.

The exhibition will be divided into four main areas:

* TV & entertainment
* PC & games
* Communications & infrastructure
* Mobile

Catering for specific interests of the audience, Your Life in Digital will also feature several focused areas, from a gaming zone - where gaming tournaments will take place, to zones for women, parents, sports and outdoor enthusiasts, teens and kids. A bloggers' zone will allow bloggers to meet face-to-face. In the retail zone, visitors will have an opportunity to buy digital lifestyle products at attractive discounts.

However, Regasek says the main attraction of Your Life in Digital is a fully-equipped digital home with broadband connectivity, integrating digital technologies we use in our everyday lives; from our perimeter walls, to our kitchens, lounges, studies, kids' rooms and our bedrooms.

In addition, Your Life in Digital will feature a series of how-to workshops and seminars, as well as keynote addresses by technical gurus, psychologists, interior decorators, and even chefs and fashion advisors, who will be looking both at the future and practical aspects of the digital lifestyle.

The show will also feature local celebrities, from both the entertainment world, such as singers, DJs and TV and radio celebrities, and the virtual world, such as popular bloggers and gamers. "Prepare to have fun. Prepare to be entertained," says Regasek.

The inaugural show will run for three days and aims to attract 100 exhibitors and 10 000 visitors. "Our objective is to grow the show to 35 000 visitors in a few years' time," says Regasek.
