Web Africa reduces ADSL prices

Johannesburg, 27 Jul 2007

From August 2007, one of SA's leading ISPs, Web Africa, will reduce its ADSL line rental prices.

Web users will be able to benefit from some of the lowest ADSL prices in local history, with prices starting at R149 per month.

According to Matthew Tagg, MD of Web Africa, the ISP is committed to passing on price cuts to its customers. "From August, Telkom will reduce its line rental prices," he says. "Instead of maintaining our rates and increasing our profits, we've passed on the saving to our customers so they can enjoy cheaper Internet access."

The price cuts apply to Web Africa's ADSL Complete package, which offers customers ADSL lines along with their access accounts in one package. This means customers no longer need to go through the protracted process of applying for ADSL lines from Telkom, saving significant time and money. Customers also benefit from the bonus of no initial set-up costs.

Web Africa offers four primary packages: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

* Bronze: 384k line and 1GB account at R199 per month. Special offer: first six months at R149 per month
* Silver: 384k line and 2GB account at R279
* Gold: 512k line and 3GB account at R479
* Platinum: 4MB line and 3GB account at R579

Prices include VAT. Customers can qualify for a free DSL 4 port router with a two-year contract.

Web Africa's reduced pricing applies to all ADSL Complete options and pricing on more advanced options can be viewed on www.webafrica.co.za.

Web Africa is currently trialling line transfers (from Telkom to Web Africa) to enable existing clients can take advantage of these bundle deals.
