Vonage faces uphill battle

According to Half Life Source, Vonage is facing an uphill battle against Verizion Communications as US district judge Claude Hilton has ordered a permanent injunction against the Internet phone carrier for use of rival Verizon's patents.

The injunction could potentially cause major disruptions in service for as many as two million Vonage customers, thought the injunction will not take effect for at least two weeks.

Judge Hilton has decided to wait two weeks to consider Vonage's request for an extended stay.
