Demonstrated for the first time in South Africa at Bateleur Software, in December, SOA Gateway is a powerful new technology that radically reduces the time and risk involved with traditional integration projects.

At the seminar, Risaris CEO John Power showed how the SOA Gateway supports all data sources and can be easily applied on all platforms. The Gateway is single-tiered, runs local to data and business logic, interfaces directly with resources, focuses on standard SOA-based integration, and is platform, database and language independent. The product exposes existing data and business logic using industry SOA standards (SOAP, WSDL and REST) and is built on the open source Apache frame work, using proven and trusted open source tools and delivers enterprise information and data integration capability using a simple URL approach.

Power's demonstration of Gateway showed how the software provides a secure single point of data entry across all channels and business applications, reduces data and process duplication across the enterprise and how the Web Service enables core data and information assets, bringing life to core assets.
