Symantec, a provider of security, storage and systems management solutions, has unveiled software offerings that is says will drive operational efficiencies through automation and self-service.

According to the company, Workflow 7.0 and ServiceDesk 7.0 aim to drive business cost savings by connecting people, processes and information.

“Organisations today are looking for ways to improve efficiencies, increase compliance, and reduce costs while leveraging existing systems and resources and building out their IT organisation as needed,” says Gordon Love, regional director for Africa at Symantec.

“Both Workflow 7.0 and ServiceDesk 7.0 provide immediate customer benefits through process automation to shorten timelines and manoeuvre through organisational structure while maintaining accountability and ensuring compliance,” he concludes.

A January Gartner study revealed that improving business processes is the top priority for over 1 500 CIOs.
