Dimension Data subsidiary Internet Solutions (IS) has nearly doubled its "voice minutes" in the past 12 months.
The company says it has 2 000 voice sites signed up, of which 1 700 are live.
Greg Hatfield, manager of IS's voice over IP solutions, says: "Since October 2006, our voice minutes have nearly doubled to approximately 17.5 million per month.
"We currently have over 80 000 users on our network, with more than 50Mb of international voice virtual private networks - mainly for call centre customers."
In order to achieve the quality of service and reliability expected by customers, all of IS's converged voice phone services are delivered over its multi-protocol label switching network.
