Neotel, Samsung unveil SME offering

Johannesburg, 17 Oct 2008

Second national operator Neotel has partnered with Samsung Networking to launch a telecommunications offering for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

According to Neotel, the new product, NeoFlex, is made up of a CDMA device which connects to all new and most existing PBX systems. It is a solution, and the company says no installation will be required. “The service can be connected almost instantly.”

As channel partner, Samsung Networking will provide and maintain the terminal equipment. Charles Enslin, MD of Samsung Networking, says that being appointed as a Neotel will enable it to offer a true alternative to what is currently available on the market.

“We are delighted that we have been chosen to work with Neotel to bring this unique solution to the market as we believe it will add great value to any small business,” he says.

According to Mukul Sharma, Neotel's head of consumer business, NeoFlex Voice customers will be presented with a service level agreement from Samsung Networking, which will “ensure that they receive a professional and efficient service at all times”.

Since the launch of its consumer services in May, Neotel has hinted it would be interested in releasing an offering for the SME market.

This market has traditionally been driven by mobile solutions, a concept Neotel has noted before as a fixed-line business opportunity.
