Charl is passionate about financial inclusion and utilising entrepreneurship and digital innovation as a means to achieve this. He started his career in building custom software solutions, then moved to PWC as a Strategist and Technology Adviser focusing on clients within the financial sector. It was from this position that Charl realised that there was a significant need to move the entire industry forward should the systemic issues be addressed effectively. The Financial Services Exchange (ASTUTE), sits at the heart of this ecosystem through data exchange and was thus a natural progression to move to, as a company with potential for exponential impact due to strategic positioning. As COO, Charl manages the innovation and delivery of ASTUTE’s services to industry. Charl studied Digital Strategy at the University of Bacconi Italy, Business Honours and MBA at University Stellenbosch.
