ITWeb’s 15th annual BI Summit will be held from 3 to 5 March 2020 at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg.

This years's event is themed: ‘Enabling actionable insights through data, analytics and AI’, and will focus on helping businesses gain a thorough understanding of the entire BI, analytics and AI landscape, to help them translate their data into actionable insights.

"The event will cover topics ranging from data preparation and management, to analytics and visualisation, and will also delve into artificial intelligence and machine learning, to help businesses acquire the knowledge they need," says Angela Mace, CRM and Events director at ITWeb.

"It will also feature keynote addresses by several top international and local experts.”

According to Gartner, a staggering 60% of BI, data and analytics projects fail because business and IT leaders aren’t using a common language and the real needs of the business haven’t been properly understood.

In recent years, economists and academics alike have been saying how data is replacing oil as the world’s most valuable resource. In today’s digital economy, data and the knowledge that can be extracted from it is the one thing that makes any business succeed or fail, yet it remains largely untapped.

With this in mind, ITWeb Business Intelligence Summit 2020 will provide a platform for more than 300 attendees from 150 organisations, including data, BI, analytics and AI experts from a range of industries, to meet, share knowledge and hear about the latest technologies, solutions and trends.

As always, the practical application of BI, data, analytics and AI strategies will run throughout the event, and the programme will be brimming with local and international case studies, real success stories and lessons learnt, interactive panel discussions and practical workshops.

“This event has become the top event in the country, and a ‘not to be missed’ gathering for business leaders in every industry," says Mace.

Delegates will learn new strategies for achieving effective data management and governance, she adds.

“Moreover, they will be given expert advice on how to identify and extract value from a variety of sources of structured and unstructured data, and will hear how to move away from traditional reporting to predictive analytics.”
