Organisations around the world are using data to support their decisions rather than drive their actions, but this is proving ineffective.

In reality, data is only valuable if it can be translated into actionable insights, but many businesses don’t know how to go about gleaning this information from their data, says Angela Mace, Customer Relationship Management and Events Director at ITWeb.

“In addition, organisations live in an era that is ruled by data, and what was once the realm of science fiction alone has become the norm, with artificial intelligence (AI) being used to enhance business intelligence. Businesses can now use machine algorithms to pinpoint trends and insights in huge amounts of big data and make quicker decisions that help them to compete in real time,” she adds.

With this in mind, ITWeb Business Intelligence Summit 2020 will be holding two half-day workshops that will unpack how to harness the power of analytics and AI, to help delegates take their businesses to the next level.

The first workshop, titled "A deep dive into the world of analytics: how to deliver business insight from data", will be facilitated by Donald Farmer, principal at Treehive Strategy. It will give delegates the practical advice, tools and methodologies they need to develop and implement an analytics strategy within their organisations, so they can create value from their data.

Registration opens at 08:00, and the workshop will run from 08:30 to 13:00 with appropriate intervals for refreshments. Lunch will be served at the close of the workshop.

The next workshop, "Finding AI: helping organisations find that game-changing use for AI in their business", will be facilitated by Mike Bugembe, founder of lens.ai.

“This highly practical and interactive workshop will see Bugembe explain how to find that unique AI opportunity that will differentiate you and give you a level of competitive advantage that becomes hard to replicate,” says Mace.

For the afternoon workshop, registration will open at 13:00, and it runs from 13:30 to 17.30 with appropriate intervals for refreshments. Lunch will be served at the start of the workshop.
