Mr Cele is a qualified, highly skilled and proficient executive manager and consummate professional with extensive background and broad experience in business analysis, solution development, project & portfolio management. His area of specialisation is in Strategy Development, Information Systems Management and Implementation. He started his career as a SAP Materials Management Assistant at Mondi in 1999. In 2002 he joined DAB Restoration in the United Kingdom as an IT Systems Analyst where he was responsible for ICT (hardware & software) systems. He successfully implemented automated invoicing system using MS Access & SQL Server and constructed business recovery and continuity guidelines for the company. In 2003 he joined Old Mutual as Manager: OMSTA Bulk Communications, and later promoted to Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Manager, tasked with process improvement and streamlined operations where he was key to the consolidation of all SAS IT Operations and Support functions into a single portfolio. At Old Mutual he also served as the member of the OMSTA Transformation Committee. In 2007 Mr Cele joined EON Consulting as a Consultant tasked with managing projects across ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and MS (Management Sciences) practices, and he was later promoted to Senior Consultant, and then Management Consultant. In that capacity he served as the member of the Management Committee (Consulting Practice), and the Training & Development Committee. He has been a director of Flex Consulting – a management advisory consultancy from 2012 until 2021, when he joined Ithala Development Finance Corporation as the Group Chief Information Officer.
