He has over 25 years’ hands-on experience in the IT industry and has worked with numerous high-profile organisations across various sectors, serving as an executive security officer and governance executive. As an internationally-recognised subject matter expert, Winston has written and contributed towards various industry publications such as: King III Report of Corporate Governance, the COBIT IT Governance Framework: COBIT2019, COBIT2019 for DevOps, the COBIT5 Framework, the RiskIT Framework, the IT Assurance Framework, COBIT and Application Controls, COBIT User Guide for Service Managers, and COBIT Mapping of CMMi. He is a former Executive and President of ISACA South Africa (the largest association representing IT governance, risk, assurance and security professionals in South Africa). During his tenure as president, the chapter was recognised as the Best Chapter Worldwide.
