Partner and Head of Singapore, Brunswick Group
Sunitha Chalam is a Partner and Head of Brunswick Group’s Singapore office. She also leads the firm’s Crisis, Cybersecurity and Litigation Practice across the Asia-Pacific region.
She advises companies on how to prepare for and respond to major cybersecurity incidents and crises, ensuring they communicate effectively with stakeholders including customers, employees and regulators during high-stakes moments. She helps organizations articulate their approach to data security and protection, strengthen internal alignment on cybersecurity and privacy issues, and navigate the complexity arising from differing regulatory requirements and varying public perceptions of data and expectations of companies across the Asia-Pacific region.
Her experience spans a wide range of sectors, from consumer and retail to financial services, technology and telecommunications, and travel and hospitality.
Before joining Brunswick, Sunitha spent 11 years in the Singapore Foreign Service, where she managed bilateral relations with Indonesia and France, and helped establish Singapore’s first National Climate Change Secretariat — shaping the country’s global strategy and positioning on climate policy.
