Veer Gosai is a third-year BSc Geoinformatics (Computer Science) student at Stellenbosch University with a focus on cyber security and fraud modelling. In 2024, after discovering that his own identity had been fraudulently used within the SASSA SRD grant system, he conducted further investigation and identified systemic vulnerabilities with national implications. His findings received widespread media attention and were presented before the Parliament of South Africa. Veer is also the founder of Taptic, an education technology company operating digital platforms across Africa, and is currently building DarkNotify, a next-generation dark web monitoring service for media and corporate organisations.
