Ian Engelbrecht is Field CTO for EMEA at Veeam, specialising in AI, security and data resilience. A seasoned keynote speaker and technology evangelist, he helps organisations translate complex technologies into clear, business-critical outcomes. He began his career at Veeam as an engineer, later leading engineering across Africa, and brings additional experience as a solutions architect in the cloud and data protection space. In his current role, Ian works closely with R&D and partners to drive innovation in AI-powered resilience, cyber security and advanced data protection. His expertise spans ransomware defence, governance, compliance, cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes and machine learning and AI.
