Platinum Micro to merge with Tarsus Technologies

Johannesburg, 11 Sep 2013

Platinum Micro will merge with Tarsus Technologies on 1 October 2013, resulting in a South African IT distribution partner focused on providing enhanced value to its customers.

The integration combines the strengths of both companies and allows for leveraging of resources and industry expertise to deliver a richer, more comprehensive and unparalleled customer experience.

The move is a precursor to the planned move to MB Technologies' new state-of-the-art, 30 000sqm warehouse and distribution facility in Waterfall Commercial District, Woodmead, Gauteng, in December 2013.

By combining resources and assets under one roof, Tarsus' offering is strengthened significantly and builds on its existing platform and initiatives to provide forward-thinking solutions to customers.

The merger will also provide customers with improved efficiencies in distribution, management, operations and overall service delivery. In addition, product portfolios will be integrated and expanded to provide an unmatched product offering. Tarsus Technologies and Platinum Micro are working closely with customers, partners and employees to make the integration process as smooth as possible.
