JSE-listed call centre firm Dialogue Group is filling its board with non-executive directors that can aid it in its growth plan.

CEO Jason Drew says the company's directorship strategy is to have a board populated with more non-executive directors than executive directors, and those in non-executive positions should be experts in the four core elements of the business.

Human resources is one area of expertise the company has identified. Kopano Mangena has a background in human resources and has spent nine years filling this role for companies such as Edgars, Sun City and OK Stores.

The recent appointment of Given Mkhari, who started The Communications Firm six years ago, adds communications and media expertise to the board. Drew says this is important, as much of a company's brand position is driven through the call centre environment.

Mkhari is CEO of MSG Afrika Investments Holdings, chairman of The Jupiter Drawing Room, chairman of The Communications Firm and former talk show host of Metro fm's Given Mkhari Show.

Dialogue is still on the hunt for non-executive directors who can bring broad telecommunications experience and infrastructure/technological expertise to the table, says Drew.
