Monwabisi is an experienced executive and leader in the assurance space, having spent 18 years in various roles that gave him solid exposure to corporate governance, internal audit, compliance, risk management and digital transformation – which includes the nine years in the AfroCentric Group. He is currently the Chief Risk Officer at AfroCentric Group, and prior to that was the Chief Audit Executive of the company.

Through his career, Monwabisi has had a privilege of leading diverse and vibrant teams across countries and regions, was exposed to providing assurance in multinational companies and was at some stage in charge of auditing six mines in three continents (Africa, South America and Australia) – immense international exposure which played a big role in giving him a global context in his business acumen and people relations.

Monwabisi’s qualifications include Master of Business Administration (MBA); Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration; Advanced Diploma in Corporate Governance and Strategy; Advanced Diploma in Accounting Sciences; Certified Internal Auditor; Certified Financial Services Auditor and Bachelor of Commerce
