2026
South Africa's technology leadership benchmark.
This invitation-only evening brings together South Africa's most influential CIOs, senior ICT executives and industry leaders for an exceptional experience that blends exclusive research insights, meaningful peer networking, fine dining and world-class entertainment.
The CIO has become one of the most influential leaders in the modern enterprise. As organisations embrace AI, strengthen cyber resilience, optimise cloud investments and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, technology leaders are expected to deliver innovation while driving measurable business value.
Against this backdrop, understanding the priorities, challenges and opportunities shaping South Africa's technology landscape has never been more important.
For more than a decade, ITWeb Brainstorm's CIO Survey has provided a trusted pulse on the issues that matter most to the country's leading technology executives. The exclusive preliminary findings of the 2026 CIO Survey will be unveiled at the prestigious ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Banquet.
More than a banquet, this is the technology leadership event of the year, an opportunity to connect with the people shaping the future of business and technology, gain first access to the latest CIO research, and be part of the conversations that will define the year ahead.
South Africa's technology leadership benchmark.
The ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Survey, run in partnership with MTN Business, is now in its 12th year.
The survey captures input from CIOs, or equivalent C-level execs, and results in an exclusive research report that provides unique insights into technology strategies of SA's top private and public sector organisations.
The comparative data from previous years enables ITWeb Brainstorm to track shifting priorities and investment trends and allows for deep vertical sector analyses.
The key findings of the 2026/2027 survey will be revealed at the annual ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Banquet, which will take place at Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg on Thursday, 22 October 2026.
The full research report will be published on ITWeb and Brainstorm online in early 2027. The report is available free of charge to all valid survey respondents.
