The ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Survey, conducted in partnership with MTN Business, has provided an annual view of the priorities, challenges and trends shaping South Africa’s CIO community for over a decade.
It captures input exclusively from CIOs and senior IT executives with equivalent responsibility across major public and private-sector organisations. As such, the survey examines how technology leaders are adapting to an increasingly complex environment – balancing innovation, skills shortages and budgets while digitally transforming and optimising the business and responding to growing cyber threats and the impact of AI.
The preliminary results of the 2026 CIO Survey will be revealed at the ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Banquet on Thursday, 22 October, at the Four Seasons the Westcliff, Johannesburg.
