Steve Jump has the experience of an unashamedly technical background, being both a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and an entrepreneur - experience that Steve uses to translate complex technology into serious business. Steve has over 30 years of practical experience at the intersection of technology and business risk, translating AI, cyber and IT into language that drives board-level decisions. Steve’s understanding that AI and cyber risk is too important to leave up to IT allows him to express support, encouragement and frequent flashes of inspiration around the state of AI and cyber risk management in business today. Steve coaches and mentors at all levels, from C-level to managers, engineers and top executives who own business risk. He guides and tutors both experienced and new entrepreneurs in secure thinking and helps postgraduate business and technical specialists to promote their own value in the world of AI, digital and cyber risk management. In his presenter role, Steve talks around the AI deployment and governance and cyber risks that he encounters in his vCISO roles as being existential threats to business. Steve has chaired conferences and presents simple and complex papers and keynotes around cyber, AI and risk management topics internationally.
