New home cinema projector offers full keystone correction and extra-long lamp warranty.

Building on the success of its best-selling EH-TW480 home cinema projector, Epson announces the EH-TW490 - the next generation in its HD-Ready projector range.

As well as offering all the features that made the previous model so popular, this 720p home cinema projector is the only model in its class to feature both vertical and horizontal correction of up to 30 degrees, and a three-year or 2 000-hour lamp warranty.

Thanks to keystone correction, users can easily align a straight image, regardless of the projector's angle. Combined with its slim, lightweight design, this portable HD-Ready projector can be set up almost anywhere - perfect for playing video games, watching movies and cheering on sporting events wherever you choose to create an occasion.

Users can watch bright content with vivid colours without having to sit in the dark, thanks to the projector's white and colour light output of 3 000 lumens and Epson's 3LCD technology. The contrast ratio of 12 000:1 also means that very dark, shadowy movie scenes or live action sport events appear much clearer and don't look washed out.

Dean Jules, Product manager of Epson South Africa, says: "This HD-Ready projector easily transforms video games, movies and sports into big-screen events with cinematic-quality images. With an easier set-up and longer lamp warranty than other projectors in its range, users can relax and concentrate on what's happening on screen, rather than having to worry about what's happening with their projector."

The Epson EH-TW490 is available from January, priced at R10 695.
