Why you should be using SharePoint on Office 365

Simon Hepburn from bSOLVe believes using e-mail and file shares is not the way to manage documents.

Johannesburg, 31 Mar 2016

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face a number of challenges that threaten their very existence and this worsens in tough economic times. Luckily technologies exist to help them be more productive and essentially do more with less, says Simon Hepburn from bSOLVe.

Many SMEs find themselves in the position where they rely heavily on e-mail to share and control information both internally and with clients. E-mail can be a great communication tool, but when it comes to sharing and controlling information there are better ways to do things.

All businesses have people that spend most of their day either in the office or on the road working with information. They spend most of their day trying to work through the constant flow of e-mails. They also spend a fair amount of time looking for documents they need to make decisions during the day. In order to make these decisions they often call meetings which end up taking a lot of time. In-between the e-mails and meetings, they try to get work done, but struggle to consolidate documents they're working on with colleagues. It's also a constant challenge to get hold of the right people at the right time during the day.

If you can relate to these challenges, and you think there must be a better way to manage information in your company other than e-mail, please attend our event next week.
